Fixes the scale of fees to be charged by professional engineers for professional advice and services rendered. Act as a stakeholder in a contract for professional engineering services, when requested.

Conduct investigation and hearings for any lodged complaint lodged against a registered person or engineering consultancy practice. Order issuance of a written warning or reprimand, imposition of a fine, suspension, or cancellation for any proven misconduct to the registered persons or engineering consultancy practice.

Conduct a professional assessment examination for the purpose of admission as a Professional Engineer. Conduct a professional competency examination for the purpose of issuing a Practising Certificate to the Professional Engineer.

Accredits engineering bachelor degree, engineering technology bachelor degree, engineering diploma, and engineering technology diploma programmes benchmarked to international standards i.e., the Washington Accord, Sydney Accord, and Dublin Accord.
